Joanna Klimczak                                                
Founder and Co – President  
                   

Joanna Klimczak is the founder of Hand in Hand International, a unique global network of young people working together through acts of kindness to alleviate poverty and make a positive difference in the world. This network operates in eight different countries; has raised over $45,000 to sponsor an orphanage, build schools, provide access to clean water, better health care and alternative income sources in developing communities; and empowers thousands of youth to be the change they wish to see in the world.

Joanna is currently on a full scholarship studying International Business and Economic Development at McGill University, with plans to thereafter complete a Degree in Human Rights Law. Her mission is to see extreme poverty eradicated, from which came much of the inspiration to start Hand in Hand and apply her education towards global sustainable development.

Fun facts about Joanna are that she speaks fluent English, French, Spanish, German and Polish, has had the honour of traveling to 21 countries, some of her favourite moments are spent improving the community with children and youth, and she absolutely LOVES peanut butter!

Justine Boomer
 

Justine is part of the Desautels Faculty of Management majoring in Accounting at McGill University. She and has a passion for travelling, reading, learning, and giving back to society. She became involved with Hand in Hand when befriending its founder Joanna Klimczak during their second year at McGill. Justine is also involved with a NPO called NetRoots. Both Hand in Hand and NetRoots believe in honesty, integrity, kindness, and giving back to those less fortunate. After university Justine plans to continue in her involvement in working with non-profit organizations as well as working towards obtaining her CA designation.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Emir Aydin
 

Emir got inspired by the unique way Hand In Hand is communicating the passion to make kindness a lifestyle and joined the Hand In Hand team to contribute to that passion in anything technology related. He also appreciates that the Hand In Hand team is always there to listen when he has a say about another fields of improvement. He designed and developed our current website as well.

Emir has been in the world of programming since he was 10 and has created some award-winning projects. He is studying Computer Science with a minor in entrepreneurship at McGill University, on a full scholarship. He is also running a tech startup and spends some time to keep up to date with latest trends in tech. His personal website can be reached at www.emiraydin.com.
 
Emir is originally from Tarsus, Turkey where Cleopatra and Mark Antony met and Paul the Apostle was born. He loves design and typography, and is constantly inspired by the works of fine art. He carries the entrepreneurial spirit and speaks Turkish, English and some French.
 
 
 
Jessica Jackson

 

Jessica was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. She is majoring in Art History at McGill University and has a passion for art, history, reading and learning. She became involved with Hand in Hand while living in Residence with its founder Joanna Klimczak during their first year at McGill. Jessica wants to be involved in a positive force for change in the world, and she believes Hand in Hand is a perfect place to start.
